Under intense scrutiny, Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin stood her ground Thursday night against a vastly more experienced Joe Biden, debating the economy, energy and global warming, then challenging him on Iraq, "especially with your son in the National Guard."

I listened to the debate and found myself impressed with her spunk and deeply saddened by her ignorance. Joe Biden is a pro, he convinced me that if he had to step in to the top slot he would be capable of running the show. I felt that the Palin seemed enthusiastic but ignorant of the issues that a president has to concern himself with. She seemed to be one long series of empty soundbites. Besides, she did not seem to understand her actual role as VP.
Maybe with a little more coaching from the Bush administration she will be ready to take up their legacy.

How will she oversight the corruption in Washington when she ignores subpoenas in Alaska ? What a hypocrite?

I can't believe all the hatred and outright ignorance I've encountered from some of the narrow minded people in America. C'mon, you know who you are.
I am speaking of those who willingly watch, or listen to, a VP debate and have their mind made up for them by listening to a few soundbites from a liberally biased, closed minded media before the debate even begins. After the debate is when your true colors shine through. Caiming victory for a half hearted attempt to try to keep up with Gov. Palin is simply pathetic and you should truly be ashamed of yourself for not engaging yourself in any independant thought.
I watched the debate between Gov. Palin and Sen. Biden. I have my pre-concieved notions of both of them and my wife and I both agreed that they were both very well spoken, both intelligent and both capable of handling themselves in a professional manner while speaking publicly. There were items from both candidates we agreed and disagreed with. You see, that's what can happen when you have an open mind. No, It's not true that if you have an open mind your brains will fall out. It's a myth.
Unless I am missing the target, President Bush is not running for any position in the upcomming election nor has he endorsed any campaign. Why do the fanatical, hate mongering liberals insist upon trying to associate the McCain / Palin camp with anyone other than McCain / Palin? It is a feeble attempt, at best, to discredit them and drag them down when there is obviously nothing else they can use to try and bring them down. STOP IT! You're embarrassing yourselves.
Yes, it's true, the Dems and libs are running scared and they don't know which way to turn so they resort to the things that have worked best for them in the past, deceit & mudslinging. Again, pathetic.
Please check the Constitution to see for yourself what the actual role of the Vice President is. After that, check what Sen. Biden said about it during the debate and see how well they match up. There's a distinct possibility he may be missing the point just a bit.
A little bit about hipocracy. Would the average American submit themselves to what can arguably be determined as a lowdown, indignant, malicious, unnecessary witchhunt? I think it best to agree, not. Why would one even consider throwing a sitting Governor into that arena of disrespect? Again, shame on you. Gov. Palin has done nothing wrong and should be given a public apology that would exceed the magnatude of the many false accusations she has received.
Rather than just jumping on the ignorance bandwagon, look at each individual and give them credit where credit is due. It's ok to think for yourself, America. Don't keep on blindly following a group of people who have decided to wake up every day with a chip on their shoulder. And, whether you agree with him or not, have some respect for your sitting President. It IS the right thing to do.
Have a wonderful day & try to engage your brain before your mouth flies into action. I promise, it will improve others' perception of you.
